  We went by this place for dinner on a road trip for carry out so I cannot say anything for actual dining in. When we went into the place first impressions weren't great. The floors were kind of sticky and the bathrooms probably need a bit of work. The workers were friendly though and made a good impression. We ordered our food and my milkshake came out near instantly. At stake and shake you can't really ever go wrong with their shakes. I got the Turtle Caramel But shake and it was good. It wasn't melted and had enough chocolate and caramel in it. The burger was also very good. I got the prime steak burger which is definitely what I'd recommend if you go here. I didn't care for the onion on it but that was easily fixed. After that though it's definitely one of the best burgers you'll find at a fast food joint. Keep up the good work in that department. Their fries were pretty good but I could've done with a bit more salt on them. Overall I would definitely recommend it if you're just here for the drive thru or carry out. For dining in I'd say they probably need to make the place feel a bit nicer and the bathrooms need to feel a bit cleaner from the experience I had inside the place.

  Worst service ever. Workers just standing around while there's a line at the register. I picked up an order for DoorDash and waited 20 min for one burger and fries. I had to ask someone else to check on my order and watched them just pick up the bag and bring it to me. How long was it sitting there? She didn't have to put fries in it or anything literally just picked up the bag and was done. Horrible service and I'll be sure to avoid this restaurant and advise other drivers and customers to do the same.

  I absolutely LOVE steak and shake; however, this particular location is just ridiculous. They often just randomly decide they're closed in the mornings for a few hours or more, with absolutely no notice and nothing but a handwritten note taped to the drive through and the front door. Now, they're apparently closed from midnight through 7:30am every day - making them one of the only Steak and Shake locations that is not open 24 hours. (Again, this is posted for customers with nothing but a handwritten note and stuck to the front door with stickers.)
  I've really tried to refrain from posting a review about this, because I know that sometimes a restaurant struggles with staffing or something like that. Things happen, I get it. But this has been going on for the 3 years I've worked in the area and I've given up on this location.

  If I could give a zero I would. I walk in the waitress first of all helps the customer and doesn't ask me anything speak or noting. I ask the cook if anyone works here and the "retard" that just walked up comes back and I'm like what do you think I come to steak and shake to stand around for nothing?  No more steak and shake cuz you're food sucks. I can get a great shake at chick-fil-a with superb customer service all day everyday!!!  You get a zero

  I'm not sure if I have ever had a good experience here (this has to do with the people, not the food). A group of us (5 people) walked into a nearly empty restaurant and waited 10 minutes to be seated. It took another 10 minutes to place our orders and then another 15 to get our orders.
  
  All the servers seemed to be waiting on individual tables and kept asking us to hold on a minute. Not even face-to-face, just walking briskly by because they are so busy getting a cup of water or napkins (or just walking around quickly for no reason) when they could have simply had us sit ANYWHERE.
  
  The manager was at the grill flipping burgers (I'm assuming he was the manager because he had on a different color button down shirt). He saw us but didn't even acknowledge us or greet us. Didn't tell any of his servers to have us seated. Nothing. We finally got seated when 2 more groups were waiting behind us.
  
  Thankfully, the food is always worth it at Steak 'n Shake. Maybe this place is a secret experiment. Let's see how many people will come for the food even if we put all the odds against them. You win, Steak 'n Shake.
